The Last Hope

Humans have evolved faster in the last 500 years than they did in the previous 5000 years. Unchecked scientific advancements have led to unprecedented insights into using aether for humanity.

Some of those affected negatively by the aether are termed “depreciators” with their senses evolved to read minds, control/modify dreams, and some of the basic elements such as water, earth, fire, air, and the aether itself. Humans are thus born with superpowers.

But there is a catch! In addition to the inborn abilities, the training that humans embark on Earth determines the degree to which they can use their superpowers. 

An exposure to extra-terrestrial space modified a human, RONE, largely. This limited his understanding to simpler language but aroused compensatory evolution in his mind. Now he could comprehend complex theories written in a vast set of literature, making him unique.

“Although they now claim that only he can advance the human race, some suspect there might be others like him”.

His story goes like this: Until the first 100 years of his life, he was perfectly normal. But, his exposure to aether at an event horizon further changed the energy inside him beyond the understanding of current scientific advancements.

As every boon comes with its own curse. His curse is that depreciators can target and manipulate his body profoundly, jeopardizing his survival. However, his inner voices have enabled him to pursue the unimaginable.

As you can now guess, humans have evolved to live longer, up to 200 years, and so there is a scarcity of resources on Earth, with the survival of entire humanity at stake. Scientific advancements have made it possible for humans to slow down our metabolism by controlling the energy within us. This has allowed humans to thrive longer on lesser consumables, but only for a definite time.

RONE is still far away from learning all the superpowers, which is his main objective. He wants to unify humans bringing harmony by modulating universal energy while fighting his own demons within.

During day time he tries to control his thoughts so as to not create an energy clash with the depreciators. His nights are ruled by how much-advanced activities he performs during the day. On bad nights, he has fantasy dreams that turn into body pain the next morning. On other nights, he is able to sleep well but the dreams persist.

The only way RONE could lead humanity lies in the very fact of having those advanced activities under the realm of a powerful godfather. In fact, it’s not about the survival of the fittest. It’s about achieving the supreme power to control anything and everything in the universe. They say he is the only soul pure enough to survive the event horizon.

If RONE attains enlightenment, there will be prosperity on Earth.  

Can, RONE do it? Only time will tell.

RONE exclaims, “It’s the depreciators watching me. But, under whose command? Do depreciators have their own minds or there is a syndicate controlling their actions?”.

“There is no straight answer to these questions and I have to find my own path”, says RONE. It’s the truth that will invoke thought clarity beyond the mist infusing the powers within. 

The spiritual guru who looks after RONE, introduces him to HER. HER is an ex-depreciator who self-taught herself to turn into a “Yogi”. So, naturally, this gives HER the power to communicate with depreciators. But she also attained the ability to communicate with The Godfather. With HER by his side, RONE plans to unlearn his past and delve into the unchartered territories of the future.

Aether is the only classical element not much understood as it’s too complex to handle. But, if put under control may solve all the universe’s mysteries including a painless body with eternal youth beyond 200 years.

RONE’s meeting HER has marked new survival instincts in the minds of depreciators who also try to change their energy within. If not for universal oneness, there will be no humanity left with changing climate and depleting resources. 

But, it’s not that easy. RONE’s thoughts invoke not just uncontrolled responses from the mind and dream-controlling depreciators but also those controlling the classical elements. It results in frequent weather changes with heavy rains, mad winds gushing heavily through the city, and at times also lighting. It all happens due to just one man’s mind.

“It’s written in stones”, says HER.

“If you can’t learn the new, you will be devoured by the aether”, shouts HER.

HER, who had once escaped from the shackles of being a depreciator, now has a solution to offer to RONE’s problem.

HER exclaims, “You have two ways to attain the almighty superpowers and save humanity”.

RONE replies, “How can you be so sure of your “ways””?

HER says, “I have spoken to The Godfather himself and he advised me to share these paths with you”.

HER furthers, “Either you choose the painful path of the unification of your energy with every living soul on Earth or you become the only apprentice to The Godfather”.

RONE has been suffering from pain and the demon within, since that fateful day. He is no longer afraid to take the less traveled road.

RONE makes the tough decision of unifying his energy with every living soul on earth, in the process causing him pain and distress. As they say, “To go fast, go alone…but to go far, go together”.

“Time is the best healer”, they say and so RONE discovers his inner potential to become ONE with the Earth by ultimately controlling the aether protecting humanity.

RONE will now be remembered as R-ONE amongst earthlings!
